A landmark survey, sponsored by the Angel Capital Association and released by Prof Robert Wiltbank (bio) in November 2007, highlights average angel capital investment returns in excess of twenty seven percent, placing returns in the top tier for private equity.

His research, based on angel capital investment returns across North America and supported by the experience of angels in the National Capital region, shows that angel capital has a profound influence on the health of the innovation ecosystem and in the spectrum of private equity.
