Sounds of Cairo are an all-star quartet that performs songs inspired by Egyptian composers of the 1920s. Andy Laster, Curtis Hasselbring, Alex Watermann and Kermit Driscoll have been active in jazz and experimental music scenes for decades, performing with musicians like John Zorn, Julius Hemphill, Wadada Leo Smith, Yoko Ono, Wynton Marsalis and Elliot Sharp.
