Fresh from his win of the third annual Andy Kaufman Award, Reggie Watts brings his off the wall and entertaining music comedy stylings to Comix! Reggie is an internationally renowned vocalist/beatboxer/musician/comedian/improviser and sometimes touring member of the band Soulive. Subjects for the Reggie Watts treatment range from ancient history, technology, magic, spirit elves, dragons, mythology and theology to pop culture. The music incorporates hip-hop, trip-hop, 80’s pop alternative, numetal and classical opera, no two songs are ever the same. Reggie loves to disorientate and confuse people in the most entertaining way.
His comedic experience includes the New York/L.A. alternative comedy scenes, the Montreal, Cape Town and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals plus several BBC live radio events. His brand of comedy is self-coined as "dissinformationist”. In addition to the Andy Kaufman Award, he is winner of the 2005 Malcolm Hardee "Oye Oye" Award.
