Double Identity: Andrew Long and Michael Long
Reception: Wednesday, July 16th, 6-8pm
July 11-August 25

The exhibition surveys the recent work of two artist and brothers whose individual work define a simultaneous interest in color, time, and space. Andrew Long's new paintings are about the act of "undoing" painting, both personally and formally. Earlier this year he was included in Austin Museum of Art's New Art in Austin: 20 To Watch and currently included in an exhibition at Kim Foster Gallery in NYC. Photographer Michael Long from Boulder, Colorado contemplates subtle energies existing in natural environments. His photographs capture the aliveness in things such as dappled light, seasons, breezes, seeds and pods, rushing water and the entanglement of bramble. He has exhibited widely and has an upcoming project in Palestine.
