5000-5800 N. Clark Street, Andersonville

(Chicago) The stores of Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood will be lining the sidewalks with great bargains during the annual Andersonville Summer Sidewalk Sale on Friday, July 27, Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, 2012. Participating merchants will stretch from 5000 to 5800 North Clark Street and include old favorites and neighborhood newcomers; a complete list is below.

With a concentration of unique home stores, Andersonville has become a go-to design destination in Chicago. During the Sidewalk Sale check out Brownstone Antiques, Cassona, George Lowell, Room Service, Scout, and Haymaker, as well as newcomers Urban Mischief and Ya Ya’s Antiques, for the best in one-of-a-kind home furnishings and accessories. Got a passion for fashion? Then you will love the deals at Akira, Bucky Gear, Milk Handmade, Moda Boutique, Rad Vintage, and Presence – and of course the legendary sale at Alamo Shoes.

Also during the Summer Sidewalk Sale, the Women & Children First Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday, July 28 from 10:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday, July 29 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. The WCF Used Book Sale benefits the Women’s Voices Fund, whose goal is to foster discussion of feminist issues and culture, and to nurture children’s delight in books.

By combining its Swedish roots and small-village charm with some of the city’s newest and hippest stores and restaurants, a day in Andersonville is a great summer getaway!
