And If We Shadows: Scenes from a Circus Life May 2, 2008

Break dancing and beat boxing melds with circus arts in a groundbreaking collaboration about life in the Bay Area circus and hip hop communities.

Tradition and the Hyphy Generation are joined together in 'AND IF WE SHADOWS - SCENES FROM A CIRCUS LIFE'. This urban circus arts performance written and directed by Tim Barsky spotlights the talent of legendary breakdancers Iron Monday & Finesse (Renegades B-boy Crew), aerialist Brett Womack (Circo Zero), contortionist Breonna Noack (Vau de Vire Society), hip hop theatre artist Rami Margron (Women's Will), and a baker's dozen of aerialists, acrobats, and circus specialists.

This groundbreaking collaboration is devised and performed by City Circus and co-produced by Acrosports, Everyday Theatre, and Brava!for Women in the Arts.

Shows run through June 25. Fridays and Saturdays @8pm and Saturdays and Sundays @ 3pm.
