'Ancient Arkansas Ancestors' not only tells the story of the rich archaeological history in northeast Arkansas, it begins 12,000 years ago when humans began moving into North America and continues through the colonial period. The complete cultural chronology from Paleo- through colonial period is represented. The exhibits convey how a complex society with sophisticated tools, ceramics and horticultural skills developed.
