Free Introduction To Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Workshop!

With the recent explosion of Mixed Martial Arts ("Ultimate Fighting"), there has been a surge of interest in all martial arts, particularly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). First developed and made famous by the Gracie family of Brazil, BJJ has firmly established itself as one of the world's most effective martial arts, particularly when facing bigger, stronger, faster opponents.

Simply put, BJJ works! Come learn why!

This free two-hour introduction to BJJ will cover basic concepts, strategies and techniques, so that participants leave not only with new techniques and tricks, but new understandings, as well.

The workshop will be run by Elliott Bayev, North American Grappling Association Champion and Co-Founder and Head Instructor of OpenMat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Suitable for those new to martial arts, strikers interested in learning more about MMA, and grapplers with no previous BJJ-specific training.

You are welcome to invite friends who are interested in martial arts, or who are already practicing a martial art. CrossFit is located one Block South of Carlaw and Gerrard streets.
