Whether it was as ”Shelley The Playboy,” beloved radio personality; as Shelley Stewart, human rights activist and leader; as Dr. Shelley Stewart, author, philanthropist and public speaker; or even as “the janitor” of your new office—when, in reality, he was signing your paychecks.

Whatever impact Shelley has had on your life, it most certainly bears remembering—and now, celebrating. That’s why you are cordially invited to An Evening With Shelley The Playboy: A Tribute to Dr. Shelley Stewart benefiting The Mattie C. Stewart Foundation. Shelley has already been enshrined in the Smithsonian Institution and the Black Radio Hall of Fame, as well as receiving honors from the 16th Street Foundation, the United Negro College Fund, the Birmingham Advertising Federation and many more. Now it’s our turn to pay tribute to this living icon. Please join us for an evening honoring the man many of us call “Shelley The Playboy,” many of us call friend and even more of us call a legend and an inspiration.

All proceeds from An Evening With Shelley The Playboy benefit The Mattie C. Stewart Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and reducing the nation’s dropout rate. The Foundation was established in honor of Dr. Shelley Stewart’s late mother, Mattie C. Stewart.
