The programme will include a selection of anecdotes winter interspersed with music by Bach, Faure, Saint Saens and Delius as well as works penned by his brother Andrew and their late father William.
Widely regarded as one of the most creative musicians of his generation, Julian, who celebrated his 60th birthday in 2011, has collaborated with an extraordinary array of musicians from Yehudi Menuhin, Lorin Maazel, Neville Marriner and Georg Solti to Stephane Grappelli, Elton John and Cleo Laine.
