Join Harry Shearer—best known as the voice of Mr. Burns and Flanders on “The Simpsons,” co-creator and co-star of This is Spinal Tap, and former writer and cast member on “Saturday Night Live”—as he reads from and discusses his hilarious first novel, Not Enough Indians.

Meet the residents of Gammage, NY, a town on the verge of declaring bankruptcy, when inspiration strikes: Why not go native and open a casino? Hilarity and misadventure ensue as Shearer brings his fictional town, with its very weird cast of characters, to life. When Gammage is transformed into the sovereign nation of the long-lost Filaquonsett tribe, their casino becomes the biggest, richest, most authentically Native American gaming property in the nation, the envy of Las Vegas and Atlantic City. But it’s only a matter of time before the Filaquonsetts get their comeuppance in this whip-smart satire of greed, collusion, distrust and betrayal in the halls of Washington and the casinos of Native America.

“Harry Shearer has one of America's great satirical minds, and he's in beautifully wicked form with Not Enough Indians.” — Carl Hiassen
