An Evening with Balé Folclórico da Bahia February 14, 2011

Richmond CenterStage is proud to welcome Balé Folclórico da Bahia to the historic Carpenter Theatre on February 14, 2011. This world-renowned 38-member troupe of dancers, musicians and singers will perform a repertoire based on Bahian folkloric dance and music of African origin that tells stories including those of Africans enslaved in Brazil and capoeira, a form of martial arts migrated from Angola. The popular Brazilian dance, samba, will featured along with the dance and music of Carnival!
