Bob Lappin & The Palm Beach Pops present "An Evening of Rodgers and Hart" featuring the John Pizzarelli Quartet packs more than 20 years of Rodgers-Hart tunes into two hours with music that has inspired some of the world’s greatest singers like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. This genre of music performed by Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops demonstrates the breadth, wit, and creativity of the dynamic duo of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Collaborating on over 500 songs, eight movies and 28 stage musicals, Rodgers and Hart turned out songs such as “With A Song In My Heart,” “The Lady Is A Tramp,” “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” “My Funny Valentine,” “This Can’t Be Love” and other well-known tunes. Music Director and Conductor Bob Lappin’s programming and sophisticated sound will thrill the audience as he presents this medley of nostalgic favorites in an upbeat style February 8-14 in Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton. Internationally acclaimed singer and guitarist for over 25 years, John Pizzarelli puts his own spin on the light-hearted songs written by Rodgers and Hart in his return to perform with Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops. Joining Pizzarelli for the sizzling evening of song will be Larry Fuller on piano, his brother Martin Pizzarelli on bass and Tony Tedesco on drums.
