An Education (Lone Scherfig, 2009) will be screened on Thursday 30th September 2010 at 7.30pm in the Studio Theatre. The film is a 12A certificate.

In the early 1960's, sixteen year old Jenny Mellor (Carey Mulligan) lives with her parents in the London suburb of Twickenham.  A naturally gifted child destined to being accepted into Oxford, Jenny's life changes after she meets playboy David Goldman (Peter Sarsgaard), a man over twice her age.  Jenny quickly gets accustomed to the life which David shows her, and has to decide if leading such a life is worth foregoing her plans of higher education at Oxford. Also featuring Alfred Molina, Dominic Cooper and Rosamund Pike.
