An Affair to Remember February 23, 2008

One of Manatee County’s largest and highly anticipated gala fundraisers “An Affaire to Remember” is taking place Saturday, February 23 at the brand new Community Center in Anna Maria.

The 24th Annual Gala event, will again be an evening to remember: The doors open at 5 pm with a champagne reception. While the guests start bidding on the silent auction items they can enjoy an open bar courtesy by Anna Maria Oyster Bars, hors d’oeuvres courtesy by the Chiles Group and piano entertainment.

Mouthwatering dinner will be served by Harry’s Continental Kitchens at 6:15 pm.

The Live Auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. and has some unique auction packages that are not available anywhere else.
Besides the silent and live auction items, guests can try their luck and win—A new Golf Cart, a 50-inch plasm HD TV and a 18k White Gold and Diamond Necklace valued at $10,000.

After the live auction, guests can dance to the tunes of the Shaman Band and sip coffee and liquors.

Tickets are $150 per person. Event sells out early every year.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Anna Maria Island Community Center a registered 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization, which services over 5,000 children, families and seniors of this community, with programs and services that otherwise would not be available.
