Calling all Social Media Minglers!
The world's first global (offline) social media event
is coming to town...

On 12 February 2009 Twestival wants to bring together Twitter communities in over 100 cities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for charity: water

The fact of the matter is that 4,500 kids die every day from water related illnesses. Digging wells that provide clean safe water in a community will change the lives of every person in that community.

We at Amsterdam Twestival aim to raise enough money to help dig 2 wells for villages in desperate need of clean safe water. 100% of the proceeds go to charity & we know you’d like to help us.

Over the last few weeks we have put together a fantastic evening at SPACES. so you can help us do just that. Check out the map for directions.

At 18:00 the party kicks off with food, drink and dancing to the slick sounds of some of Amsterdam's coolest local artists. There will be prizes and more than a few suprizes throughout the night, coupled with live twitter streams, and linkups to other Twestivals, so you can share the experience of a great event for a great charity charity: water
