Come join the Young Professionals International Forum (IF) at our Summer Reception held at the Jazz Heritage Center where we will enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, live jazz music and photos from the traveling exhibit, Jam Session: America's Jazz Ambassadors Embrace the World. This exhibit chronicles the tours of American jazz legends as they traveled the globe on behalf of the US State Department. From the mid-1950s through the 1970s, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, and others served as cultural diplomats, transcending national boundaries, and making friends for the United States.

This reception will be the last night that the exhibit is open in San Francisco before relocating to New Orleans.

Speaker: Cari Guittard, Executive Director, Business for Diplomatic Action

The evening will also feature Cari Guittard, Executive Director of Business for Diplomatic Action, who will discuss her work in enlisting the US business community in actions to improve the standing and reputation of the United States around the world.

The Summer Reception is a great opportunity to meet people of all ages who enjoy learning about and discussing world affairs.
