Named Denver's Best Singer/Songwriter in 2006 and 2007 by both the editors and fans of Westword (Colorado's biggest alt-weekly and a sister publication of the Dallas Observer), Angie Stevens is a passionate, soulful Americana/indie rock artist who performs with the power of a freight train: Patty Griffin coupled with Janis Joplin.

She and her band play a mix of rock, alt-country, traditional country, and honky-tonk. They just returned from Mexico after a very successful weekend as part of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers' Circus Mexicus.

Growing up in South and North Dakota, and college in Minnesota, Angie then moved Denver where she rapidly built up a following. Now she is expanding nationally, having played in 20 states over the last two years. Her music has been aired on radio stations in the US and Europe.

Angie is sponsored by Coors and Cowgirlpunk Clothing. Her song, "Sleepwalking," was featured on HBO's Big Love. Her video, "Stand Up Girl," (filmed during her August 2006 concert at Red Rocks) was a "Pick of the Week" on Country Music Television's Top 20 Video Countdown show. And in September 2007 she returned to Red Rocks to perform as part of the first-ever Monolith Festival. In January 2008 she showcased at the Sundance Film Festival. In April she was flown to New York City to perform at a major media event to promote Colorado tourism.

Coming soon will be the national DVD release of the Seven Voices concert series featuring Angie and internationally recognized singer/songwriters bluesman Otis Taylor, zen artist Stuart Davis, and Americana singer/songwriter Jeff Finlin. She is also developing a sports/music promotion, "The Bass Surfer Project," and has a music licensing agreement with MTV Networks.

The White Rock show will be an intimate show acoustic solo show with Angie.
