The American Indian (Ethnology) collection of the museum includes historic Indian artifacts from the Southern Plains--Comanche, Kiowa, Southern Cheyenne, and Arapaho--and related areas of the Southwest. Notable artifacts include a bonnet and lance from Quanah Parker; a bonnet, shield, and lance from White Eagle (Eschiti); a traditional dance outfit from Oscar Yellow Wolf; and a feathered headdress from Big Bow.
