David Mamet's classic American comedic drama 'American Buffalo' comes to Steppenwolf, directed by Amy Morton and featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan and Tracy Letts with Patrick Andrews. In a cluttered, run-down Chicago junk shop, three small-time crooks, fancying themselves businessmen, wax philosophically about society while conspiring to steal a rare and valuable coin from a neighborhood collector. Volcanic and motor mouthed Teach schemes and spars with tender-hearted but street-savvy junk-shop owner Donny, eventually enlisting Bobby, a slow-witted and desperate young delinquent, to carry out their misbegotten robbery.
