American Ballet Theatre II November 1, 2009

This company of 14 young dancers, age 16-20, are hand-selected from around the world and intensely trained under the direction of Wes Chapman. Entering its 14th season, the companys varied repertoire mirrors the firmly rooted classical ballet traditions of American Ballet Theatre, yet also includes contemporary choreography. Through national performances, lectures, demonstrations and residencies, ABT II brings the excitement of contact with a professional company to communities nationwide. This performance will showcase the world premiere of a new dance piece developed during the Companys Flying E Ranch Residency, as well as existing works from their renowned repertory.
