America Recyles Day November 12, 2011

Environmental Booth: Hand-outs promoting the City’s environmental programs and services, as well as the popular mail-back battery/fluorescent bulb and cell phone/ ink cartridge recycling kits will be available for pickup.

E-Waste Recycling: Electronic waste (e-waste) includes items such as computers, monitors, cell phones, TVs, and vacuums. Recycling of microwaves requires a $5 per unit disposal fee.

Paper Shredding: A licensed and bonded document destruction company will be conducting on-site shredding of unwanted confidential and sensitive paper materials (2 box limit per household). Examples include loan or insurance documents, and financial, medical, or legal records). Cardboard items will not be accepted.

Mulch Giveaway: Waste Management, the City’s residential waste hauler, will be offering up to 80 gallons of mulch to each resident in attendance. Mulch distribution will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are depleted. Residents should bring their own shovel and containers to collect their supply of mulch.

Event participation requires proof of Diamond Bar residency (driver’s license or photo I.D.).
