America Recycles Day with the South Rome Boys & Girls Club November 15, 2011

Members of Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful, employees of the City of Rome's Solid Waste Department, and employees of the Rome Floyd Recycling Center will vsit the South Rome Boys & Girls Club during their after-school sessions to demonstrate how recycling is picked up at curbside by the large City trucks, take the recycling pledge, learn about "Plastics by the Numbers", visit with recycling mascot "Re-Re", and learn how to make household cleaners with baking soda and vinegar. All of the kids received an ARD pencil, sticker and a car trash bag with information about curbside and remote site recycling available in the City and the County.
