America Recycles Day Triathalon November 15, 2011

Participants will compete for Amerca Recycles Day prizes in a "recylcing triathalon" where they will be timed on how fast they can crush soda cans, sort recyclables and toss stacks of newspaper. The crushed cans will be taken to the metal scrap yard and the money received will benefit the local community garden. The rest of the materials will be recycled at the local recycling center.

The event will also feature informational booths and a plastic bag recycling contest. The event will conclude with a brief informational presentation on local recycling.
