America Recycles Day November 15, 2011

GHES will celebrate ARD with a Morning commercial about recycling, offer guest speakers doing recycling crafts with students in grades K - 5. Create a Cafeteria bulletin board display on recycling. Green spirit tickets, pencils and buttons given to any student "caught recycling" or conserving. Collection of recyclables in classes, workrooms and cafeteria with new recycle bins and posters. Celebrate the Cash for Trash program expansion where the school now collects corks and more e-waste products for fundraising. Purchase of Recycling books and educational DVDs to replace outdated ones in media center (from 1970's). Currently looking for donation of recycling t-shirts to the Green Team recycler students and teachers.
