Amanda’s in Berkeley Co-Hosts Eco-Local Pre-Holiday Party on November 4 November 4, 2010

Amanda’s Feel Good Fresh Food Restaurant in downtown Berkeley will co-host an Eco-Local Pre-Holiday Party on Thursday, November 4. From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be free samples of select Amanda’s food and beverage menu items (including seasonal catering offerings and their newly introduced selection of local and organic beer and wine) served in conjunction with in-store informational tables and displays by select Bay Area eco-friendly and socially responsible purveyors and producers of goods and services geared towards holiday dining and gift giving.

Co-hosting the party will be Buy Local Berkeley, a collaborative of merchant associations and individual small business owners seeking to inspire people to shift their spending to Berkeley merchants. Buy Local Berkeley will feature games and will give away gift certificate raffle prizes donated by local businesses.

Among the party attendees will be representatives of To-Go Ware (reusable utensils, food containers and accessories made from sustainable material and crafted by artisans in the developing world), Convert (quality clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women who care about style as much as they care about the earth), GIANNA (a fair trade eco-fashion and home decor business working to empower women artisans in developing countries), PACT (design-driven, responsibly manufactured, premium organic cotton underwear), and Karine Brighten Events (a full service event-planning firm specializing in affordable eco-friendly events).
