Bring along your favourite toy to a free children’s show in Alton’s popular Public Gardens on Friday 29th May during half term week and help Leopold the Leopard and his friends find their way back home! The Lost Toy is a funny, interactive show for 3-7 year olds about the importance of home, friendship and family!
Following on from the success of last year’s tour about transport and the environment, ‘Are We Nearly There Yet?’ proteus theatre company, who are regulars at Alton Assembly Rooms each Christmas, now wants the audience to help create the show by bringing along their toys to star in the story which is taking place from 2-3pm.
Proteus are also going to try and find homes for any lost toys by setting up a national campaign to home them through social networking sites. If you have found a lost toy and would like it re-homed, bring it along to the show and Proteus will donate it to Naomi House Children’s Hospice either for sale in one of their charity shops or for use in the Children’s Hospice.

Presented by Alton Town Council, this is the first time that the council have arranged entertainment for children outside of the normal six-week summer holiday, when there is a show every Friday afternoon.

In the event of very poor weather, the show will take place in Alton Assembly Rooms.
