High Street
Alton, England

Alton Lions organises a Craft Market in Alton in conjunction with local craft workers with the stall hire and pitch fee surplus being donated to local charities. This month the market is joined by a local food festival.

The Alton Craft Market is held at the same time as the Alton Farmers Market, which runs along the length of the High Street and makes for a very busy day. The market is held on the second Saturday of each month from March to December 10am to 3pm, excepting August, when it is held on the first Saturday.

The market venue starts from the junction of the High Street and Cross and Pillory Lane and extends into the traditional Market Square. Alton's market held in "Westbrook" is the most valuable market recorded in The Doomsday Book and probably covered most of what is now Market Square. Extra Craft Markets are held periodically to coincide with other events in the Town Centre, for example the Jane Austen Week, the Food Festival and others.

The Alton Craft Market is now a well established event with a wide range of products on offer ranging from cards, pottery, soft furnishings and glass to jewellery, original photography and woodwork, all made by the individual stallholders. If you are a crafter and interested in selling at the Alton Craft Market please look through the booking form and terms and conditions, or contact direct by email: [email protected] for further information.

A great family day out.
