Set in the Peruvian Andes, optometrist Max (Dardenne brothers regular Olivier Gourmet) and his adrift photojournalist wife Grace (Jasmin Tabatabai) are installing a rural clinic offering free eye surgery to the indigenous population. When a soon-to-be-married villager dies from an illness related to the nearby mining activity, Max and Grace find themselves caught up in a battle that has the locals vehemently rising up against the mining company.
