Alternative Latin Music Event to Benefit Sustainable Projects in Developing Countries October 23, 2008

The contemporary Latin alternative music of FUGA!, a socially conscious group, with its mixture of Mexican borderland Cumbia, Ska, Son, Rock, and Spanish and English lyrics will headline a live music event at 111 Minna Gallery on Thursday, October 23 to benefit Engineers without Borders - San Francisco Professionals (EWB-SFP). DJ M3 opens SFARI'08 - Design > Develop > Empower, which will support EWB-SFP's volunteer efforts to provide safe, renewable energy to rural villages in Guatemala, develop and deploy a locally sustainable system for clean drinking water in India, and reduce mortality rates within Brazilian communities due to smoke inhalation from cooking stoves.
Raffle prizes include an Entertainment Package (SF Symphony tickets and dinner), a Sports Package (autographed memorabilia and game tickets), an Adventure Package (whale watching trip and hotel stay), and more.
