Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority 22nd Annual Image Awards Scholarship Luncheon March 15, 2008

The Omicron Mu Omega Foundation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated will host its 22nd Annual Image Award Scholarship Luncheon at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

World-renowned economist, author, commentator and president of Bennett College, Dr. Julianne Malveaux is the guest speaker and the annual image award will be presented to Curtistene Smith McCowan, the current president of the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation. McCowan is being recognized for her significant contributions to the economic development of her local community and the advancement of education at the local, state and national levels.

The event is also dually purposed as the primary fundraiser for the community programs and scholarships offered by the Omicron Mu Omega Foundation.
