Described as "a force of nature" by fans, Since Antarctica emerged on the D.C.-area alt-rock scene ready, willing, and able to rock your face off. Their high-energy shows rivet audiences with musically sophisticated original songs performed with passion, virtuosity, and fun. The four-piece band debuted to a packed house at Fat Tuesday's in Fairfax, VA, and have since claimed devotees at venues including Solly's U Street Tavern and Asylum Rock and Roll Lounge.

Shannon Woods commands audiences' attention with soulful, powerhouse vocals (no twee whispering here) and a captivating on-stage presence. Mutton-chopped guitarist Walt Rieker slings driving, metal-tinged riffs with the assured swagger and charisma of a true rock star. Frantzie -- the man needs but one name -- brings an irresistible bassline as well as complex, emotionally raw songwriting and vocal harmonies. And drummer Chip Burden backs it all up with solid, frenetic beats to help ensure that each and every face present is thoroughly rocked off.
