Walkabout Theater is proud to announce the world premiere production of "ALL RISE--a theatrical event on sacred ground." In a unique partnership with Luther Memorial Church, playwright Martyna Majok, and roughly forty Chicago artists, Walkabout Theater embarks upon a journey that is unusual, arresting, and inherently spiritual.

In this site-specific, promenade-style production, Walkabout Theater invites its audience on a tour through the found spaces of Luther Memorial Church, with the character Billy as their guide (portrayed by Errol McLendon, conceived by Martyna Majok). Along the way, we encounter a meeting for a women's Diet Club, an Astronaut afloat, the burial of a pet dog, and the rebirth of a man in the middle of his life. Framed by Billy's shared experiences, these theatrical events of "ALL RISE" explore our relationship with sacred space, the particular ways we connect with others, and the fragile fabric that holds us together. "ALL RISE" is a celebration of sacred spaces and the impressions we make as we walk through them.
