All on a Michigan Night: Michigan Songwriters' Festival

Michigan folk and folk rock songwriters, authors and poets gather to raise money for the Washtenaw Land Trust, which supports projects preserving species in the county's dwindling undeveloped areas. Performers include poignant folk rock songwriter Dave Boutette, soulful rock songwriter John Latini, bluesy country duo the Hummingbirds, country songwriter David Rossiter and powerful folk songwriter Chris Buhalis. Also appearing is blues, folk and bluegrass songwriter Jen Sygit, Ypsilanti roots rock band Paul's Big Radio and country, folk and blues guitarist and banjo player Eric Kelly. Thoughtful folk songwriter Jan Krist also plays, plus Celtic and folk songwriter Kitty Donohoe and narrative folk songwriter Kevin Meisel. Nick Strange guitarist Dan Orcutt also appears, as well as Great Lakes Myth Society guitarist Gregory McIntosh, early jazz ensemble the Royal Garden Trio and roots rock songwriter John D. Lamb. Guitarist Derek Daniel lends his rich voice, too, plus novelist Steve Amick, Keith Taylor, Jeff Gower and Sam Vail.
