"Dyn-O-Mite Fiends: Architecture and Anarchy in Chicago"
Professor Richard Sommer, Dean, John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design
Professor Sommer is an architect and urbanist. Preceding his appointment at U of T, he was a member of the Architecture and Urban Design faculty at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. His most recent research concentration has resulted in a co-authored book entitled The Democratic Monument in America: a Twentieth Century Topography. He was a Visiting American Scholar and the O'Hare Chair of Design and Development at the University of Ulster, where he worked to develop new models for the design of Northern Ireland's cities and towns as they emerge from "The Troubles".
