In the spirit of the holiday season, and to celebrate the recent release of The Greatest Gift - Songs of the Season, vocalist Alexis Cole has scheduled a show in Chicago which will benefit World Bicycle Relief, an organization which provides sustainable access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities in developing nations through The Power of Bicycles.

A winner of the 2007 Jazzmobile competition and an award recipient at the Montreaux Jazz Voice Competition, Alexis was cited as "a rising star in the jazz world" by Hot House Magazine, and has released three critically acclaimed albums: Very Early, Nearer the Sun, and Zingaro. A dedicated educator, she teaches privately, has taught at the 92nd St. Y in New York City, and has served on the faculty of Berklee College of Music in Quito.

Alexis Cole chose to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of The Greatest Gift, which was released on October 13, to benefit World Bicycle Relief, as the organization's mission resonated with her own love of bicycles and her desire to make an impact in the realm of sustainability and AIDS relief. The Greatest Gift, an enhanced CD, includes two powerfully moving videos that document this wonderful work.
