Take a Franco-American kid from Brittany, the Celtic province of western France, raise him in Europe and rural North Carolina, then steep him for years in Brazilian samba and bossa nova, and you might get guitarist and composer Alex Martin, who calls his unique sonic palate "New World jazz."
