Alex Ip, bass-baritone, a native of Hong Kong, has studied voice with numerous masters, including the famed vocal educator Madame Zhou Xiao-yan, Chinese-American baritone Mr. Zhou Zheng, and world-renowned bass-baritone Mr. Sze Yi-kwei. Alex is an active member on stage - he has sung in productions of Marriage of Figaro, Rigoletto, Aida and La Boheme, and as soloist in Mozart's Requiem and Handel's Messiah, etc. Alex has performed with many groups including the International Festival Chorus of Shanghai, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and Oxford Bach Choir. In this concert Alex will perform a wide variety of repertoire, from the classical selections of Mozart and Schubert, to the well-beloved opera arias, Chinese art songs and Broadway musicals.
