Alex Film Society: Vaudeville Extravaganza September 20, 2008

The enchanting ukulele chanteuse Janet Klein and Her Parlor Boys performing nostalgic music from the vaudeville era. The eclectic lineup also includes Raffles & His Rainbow Poodle Fantasy, David Avadon, The Fastest Pickpocket in the West, the Award Winning Native American Hoop Dancer Robert Whirlwind and, back by popular demand, the hilarious comic Chipper Lowell. True to the vaudeville genre, the evening concludes with the 1337 Warner Bros. Vitaphone cartoon 'She Was An Acrobat's Daughter', a vintage newsreel, a sing a long cartoon and Mack Sennet's 1932 comedy classic 'The Dentist' starring W. C. Fields.
