Kate Taylor was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Her musical roots delve deep into the American music genres of rhythm and blues, folk, gospel, country, rockabilly, Appalachian bluegrass, and rock and roll. She is the sister of Livingston and James Taylor.
