Alan Skidmore Quartet November 16, 2007

Alan Skidmore plays with immense physical and imaginative stamina. His repertoire is a mixture of standards, original compositions and music from the great John Coltrane. Critic Alun Morgan wrote of the quartet: “He succeeds in getting the ‘other world’ feeling of John Coltrane without producing a slavish copy.” We welcome Alan Skidmore as we begin our season of international Jazz.

“The ‘New’ West Midlands International Jazz Club”

The Lichfield Garrick, in association with Palmerlive are delighted to present their first Studio jazz season.

The West Midlands International Jazz Club has been presenting jazz legends from around the world for many years, at the George Hotel, Lichfield. Now, under the banner of the “new” International Jazz Club, concerts will take place in the very intimate surroundings of the Lichfield Garrick Studio.

This exciting season starts on Friday 16th November, and then runs monthly from January through to June.
