allander's single-channel video 'CF01' is an alluring and meditative animation that combines cinematic narrative structure with painterly abstraction. Translucent, colored quadrangles vibrate, shift, layer, and meld into a compositional crescendo. At times, both bodies of work suggest landscapes, the forms occupying and resembling the tangible world. At other moments, an actual and visual lyricism prevails.
