Hit songs “Year of the Cat” and “Time Passages” made this Scottish singer/songwriter a force to be reckoned with in the 1970s folk-rock scene.

* The Scottish-born Stewart moved to London in the mid-’60s to explore the British folk-rock scene, sharing a room with Paul Simon and investing money in a Yoko Ono film project.
* After a decade with little recognition, Stewart’s 1975 album Year of the Cat finally pushed the artist to international recognition, eventually selling a million copies worldwide.
