AKC and CFA Meet the Breeds October 16, 2010

'Meet the Breeds' is a showcase of nearly 200 American Kennel Club (AKC) and Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) breeds. 'Meet the Breeds' will again feature: More than 200 dog and cat breed booths individually decorated depicting the history of the breed. Giant Mastiffs in a medieval castle, Norwegian Elkhounds on a Viking ship, and Russian Blue cats in an Imperial Palace are examples of the booths that were at last year's event. This is an opportunity for doggie devotees and feline fans to interact with some of the rarest dogs, cats, puppies and kittens and learn about their history and unique attributes directly from the experts. Demonstration rings will include agility, obedience, detection canines, search and rescue, grooming, earthdog and more. More than 100 vendors will be selling unique dog and cat items. Also included are games and giveaways at vendor booths including free samples and balloon artists that will allow you to turn your tot into your favorite dog or cat breed, along with other activities.
