Ak-Chin Indian Community honors heritage at 29th Annual Native American Recognition Day September 29, 2012

Members of the Ak-Chin Indian Community as well as volunteers from different nonprofit organizations, groups and individuals celebrate the Native American culture.

Join the Ak-Chin Indian Community as they celebrate the 29th Annual Native American Recognition Day. Honor the past, present and future of the community with a day of fun and games, celebrating the rich culture of Native American people and traditions.

The event kicks off with a fun run/walk. The fun continues as attendees are invited to enjoy an array of entertainment including dance performers and live demonstrations. Attendees can also enjoy booths featuring arts &crafts, traditional native fare, jewelry and other gifts as well as games and contests for all ages.
