about the presenters:

Bennett Peji is a specialist in district branding and design. He serves as an AIGA national board member, a Commissioner of Arts & Culture for the City of San Diego, an Asian Business Association Vice-President, and a Public Art Committee member for National City. He is one of the co-founders of the AIGA Center for Cross-cultural Design and is San Diego’s first AIGA Fellow honoree. His firm, Bennett Peji Design, focuses on helping revitalize organizations, cities and cultures through district branding.

Believing that form follows culture, Peji served as master plan consultant for the Filipino Village development in National City. Besides business and community service awards, his firm has received over 200 design awards.

Billed as a “cultural oasis” in the midst of downtown Las Vegas’ office and legal corridors, the revitalized building is home to an assortment of local arts and architectural organizations. The primary tenants are the University of Nevada Las Vegas Fine Arts Program, including the Downtown Design Center for the School of Architecture; the Nevada School of the Arts (a music education organization); the American Institute of Architects; and the city of Las Vegas Cultural Affairs Division.
