The play hinges on a reversal of stereotypes: women writing to agony aunts for advice on problems ranging from acne to hot flushes are commonplace, but guys doing so would be considered effeminate. Agony Uncle takes a hard, uncompromising, often hilarious look at the problems men face in dating, relationships and other areas and is a cross between a reality show and stand-up comedy.The second half consists of the 3 Uncles coming up with "solutions" to problems faced by audience members who have dropped them into a fishbowl during the interval.
