Against Me! In-store Performance And Signing At Plan 9 April 17, 2010

Plan 9 Music is excited to announce that AGAINST ME! will be stopping by our store in Carytown (3012 W Cary St) at 1:00 pm on Saturday April 17th for an in-store performance and signing as part of our Record Store Day celebration.

The past 12 years have seen Against Me!’s Tom Gabel rise from acoustic folk-punk gunslinger in the dives of Gainesville, Florida to releasing Against Me!’s four searing, blood-smeared slices of scrappy punk. The last of which, 2007’s New Wave, was the major label debut, one that Spin magazine anointed as their Album Of The Year. Producer Butch Vig – who also helmed New Wave – pushed the band to make the new album, White Crosses, more dynamic while retaining the bruising roundhouse rights they’ve thrown since their 2001 debut Reinventing Axl Rose. White Crosses will be released in May 2010. Against Me! Is also releasing a very limited quantity of 7” singles for Record Store Day 2010 featuring two tracks.
