Join the exciting and newest voice in the Toronto Theatre scene, the Baobab Youth Theatre Group, on July 24th when they present African Women are as Strong as the Baobab Tree. For one night only, Torontonians can experience an inspirational new work by Director Sauro Agostinho at the Glenn Gould Studio.

Julia is an African woman who has endured and survived an abusive relationship at the hands of her husband. Forced to provide for her family, African Women are as Strong as the Baobab Tree is a call to arms to inspire and mobilize women of all cultures. Although an African story, this piece highlights serious women’s issues that are part of a universal struggle for all women. African Women are as Strong as the Baobab Tree will ignite hope, invoke thought, and shed light on issues that are prevalent in all cultures.
