The Unity Festival is artistic expression that will offer to a wide and varied public the chance to experience rich art and cultural heritage of Africa, to feel its communicative powers and to be moved by it. This edition of the Festival will join the ranks as one of many festivals that take place every year in other part of the world. We have had the honour to invite professional artistes/ performers, promoters, sponsors, donors, cultural workers, talents and groups to participate in the event.
PRE- UNITY FESTIVAL
Pre- Unity festival event will feature media conference and African football tournament among some Africanclubs in Madrid.
NTRODUCTION:
Since culture is dynamic and a reflection of people and the society at any point in time, the main purpose of the UNITY FESTIVAL is to bring people together and to give /African artistes an opportunity to expose their talent to the international audience, colleagues and other organisations through an explosive and informative live entertainment packed full with folklore and other art forms to showcase.
UNITY FESTIVAL and the messages is to show-case Africa and bring various people together on this occasion, to celebrate this art forms and revel in its universality, to cross all political, cultural and ethnical barriers to promote unity, solidarity, peace/love, friendship and human brotherhood in line with millennium development goal and European cultural policies. Special emphasis would be given to music/ dance performances, spoken words and other art forms.
UNITY FESTIVAL is a cultural emancipation conceived to inform and educate the wider audience of our cultural and tourism potentials, away from crime, away from instability. In the true language of it, it is designed to spruce up our positive image as a people through arts and cultures.
OBJECTS:
-The objects of UNITY FESTIVAL is to unite the people,
- To bring immigrants (Africans) families and friends together so as to promote integration, friendship, Solidarity and unity in the language of their own.
- To attract the attention of the immigrant and wider public to African arts and culture through music/dance spoken words and other art forms.
- to contribute to the mental and physical well being of the people.
- To promote peace and understanding amongst various people, families and government.
- To emphasize the importance of arts and cultures within the sphere of politics, economics and social development.
THE BRIDGE:
Most immigrants had been drifting due to lack of cultural exchange and awareness, appreciation and bad image levelled. This drift has in so many ways caused serious set backs on the attainments of unity, integration, social justice and understanding, since they are far away from their homes.
UNITY FESTIVAL is meant to bridge the gaps between peoples.We are Convinced that cultural activities will always be a key to mutual understanding unlocking doors so far closed by prejudice and ignorance in any nation.This event will give children and youths a good knowledge of our rich culture and as a networking event for peoples, families and their friends in Spain.

INVITATION:
The invitation to this event is open to families, diplomats and the embassies, organizations, companies, the media, Government officials and the general public etc...

PATICIPATION: The general public, schools/institutions, professionals, persons institutionally involved in the wider field of promoting arts and cultures, churches, government agencies, municipality, trade unions, organisations, associations, the media, companies, investors etc---

THE EVENT:
Unity Festival event will feature exhibitions, seminar, workshops, hilarious performances by coalition of artistes from the continent of Africa and in Europe, both professionals and amateurs, popular DJs, spoken words, Fashion show, arts and crafts etc

ORGANIZERS:
This event is jointly organised by Asociacion Africa Heritage, in collaboration with African Organisations and Alcala Municipality Ayuntamiento.

VENUES:
The exhibition, seminar and workshop of the Unity festival event will take place in Auditorium Paco De Lucia in Alcala de Henares Madrid.

Association AFRICA Heritage is an NGO none profit making organisation for the promotion of African art and culture in particular in the field of music, dance, theatre, folklore and other arts forms around the world, furthermore to do everything that may be connected to the foregoing in the widest or may be conducive thereto.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
The Asociacion tries to achieve this object, among other things, by:
- organising forestage performances;
- organising annual cultural festivals and carnivals and other suitable means;
- carrying out cultural educational programmes in schools and other educational institutions;
- establishing a centre for cultural development, research, exhibition, training and documentation.
- establishing a grassroots media outfit (radio/television and the print media)
- raising subsidies and funds from sponsors /donors;
- contributing and attending arts and cultural conferences and events in all parts of the world;
- being closely involve and cooperating with persons and organisations, which have a similar objectives.
